EMBRACING CLICHES: HOME ACTUALLY IS WHERE THE HEART IS
As a creator or artist, you are always on the search to create something new or novel. To offer some innovative thought or idea to the world that blows minds and has never been heard before.
That pressure is immense.
To force myself to let go of that pressure and to simply just make for the sake of making, I decided to turn my camera to anything that I simply loved. No rhyme. No reason. No rationale for a big concept that impresses other artists. Simply capture moments full of the things I loved.
In the process I found myself turning my camera to my two favorite things: my spouse and my cats. The beings in my life that consistently fill me with warmth and comfort. My home.
While cliche and overdone, when I am at the end of the line, these are probably the photos I’ll be most proud of and want to look back on.
They say cliche’s are cliche’s for a reason and the reason is probably because they are true. My home really is where my heart is. Check selects from the series here.
